Wavelet-based MC-CDMA cellular systems
2000 IEEE Sixth International Symposium on Spread Spectrum Techniques and Applications. ISSTA 2000. Proceedings (Cat. No.00TH8536), 2002This paper presents work carried out on a multi-carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) for a down-link cellular radio systems. The MC-CDMA system carries out energy spreading in all available sub-channels or in the frequency domain. It also performs multi-carrier modulation using a set of orthogonal (or biorthogonal) filters.

Performance analysis of MC-CDMA system
2012 1st International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT), 2012To achieve high data rate Multi-Carrier Code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA) is one suitable choice for next generation wireless communication system. MC-CDMA is the combination of CDMA and OFDM schemes, resulting into getting the advantages of both the schemes.

Capacity optimisation in MC‐CDMA systems
European Transactions on Telecommunications, 2002AbstractA novel efficient algorithm is proposed for the optimisation of capacity assignment in a MC‐CDMA system with an additional frequency division multiplexing component. Based on an estimate of the frequency‐selective channel, the algorithm optimises the assignment of the sub‐bands to the users with respect to the overall system capacity. Moreover,

Modified PIC in MC-CDMA systems
First International Symposium on Control, Communications and Signal Processing, 2004., 2004In this paper, we propose a modified parallel interference cancellation (PIC) approach for MC-CDMA systems. Compared with conventional PIC, modified PIC can improve BER performance at lower number of subchannels in both downlink and uplink channels and has the same performance as conventional PIC when the number of subchannels is sufficiently large ...

Channel estimation and tracking for MC‐CDMA signals
European Transactions on Telecommunications, 2004AbstractThis paper investigates the impact of channel estimation errors in the uplink and downlink of a multicarrier code‐division multiple‐access (MC‐CDMA) system. Pilot blocks are periodically inserted into the downlink data stream to perform a least‐squares channel estimation.

ICA detection for MC-CDMA systems
2012 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communications Systems, 2012The multicarrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) technique has received considerable attention due to its high data rate for future wireless communication systems. A common problem to multiuser MC-CDMA detectors under Rayleigh fading channels is that the performance is very sensitive to the signature waveform mismatch (SWM) induced by channel ...

Combined partial equalization for MC-CDMA wireless systems
IEEE Communications Letters, 2009We analyze a combined equalization technique for multi carrier-code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) systems which consists in performing both pre-equalization at the transmitter and post-equalization at the receiver. In particular, a parametric partial equalization (PE) technique is considered at both sides, and we derive a generalized analytical ...

Analysis of non-linear distortions on MC-CDMA
ICC '98. 1998 IEEE International Conference on Communications. Conference Record. Affiliated with SUPERCOMM'98 (Cat. No.98CH36220), 2002We analyze the influence of the effects of the non-linearity due to high power amplifiers in MC-CDMA scheme using BPSK modulation. The results are compared to those obtained with the classical BPSK modulated DS-CDMA scheme. It is shown that without predistortion the total degradation for the up-link of a cellular mobile communications system is about 2

Performance of downlink MC-CDMA and CI/MC-CDMA systems in the presence of narrowband interference
Proceedings of the 2009 International Conference on Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing: Connecting the World Wirelessly, 2009MC-CDMA (Multi-carrier Code Division Multiple Access) remains a strong candidate for next generation wireless communication systems. Due to its capability of exploiting frequency diversity, MC-CDMA provides high BER performance in multi-path fading channels.
