Performance analysis of MC-CDMA system

2012 1st International Conference on Recent Advances in Information Technology (RAIT), 2012
To achieve high data rate Multi-Carrier Code Division Multiple Access (MC-CDMA) is one suitable choice for next generation wireless communication system. MC-CDMA is the combination of CDMA and OFDM schemes, resulting into getting the advantages of both the schemes.

A MC-CDMA system based on CMFB

Proceedings of the 2004 IEEE International Conference on Control Applications, 2004., 2005
An M-band CMFB with a side lobe of about 45 dB was designed using the optimum equal wave method. Modulation was made with the updated comprehensive filter banks, and demodulation was made with the analytic filter banks, and a multi-carrier CDMA system based on CMFB was constructed.

Combining techniques for MC-CDMA

The Thrity-Seventh Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems & Computers, 2003, 2004
This paper investigates combining techniques for multi-carrier CDMA (MC-CDMA) systems. Specifically, based on the maximum likelihood criteria, optimal combining techniques are derived and discussed for the following scenarios: (1) channel information is not available at the receiver; (2) a statistical characterization of the channel fades is available ...

Channel estimation and tracking for MC‐CDMA signals

European Transactions on Telecommunications, 2004
AbstractThis paper investigates the impact of channel estimation errors in the uplink and downlink of a multicarrier code‐division multiple‐access (MC‐CDMA) system. Pilot blocks are periodically inserted into the downlink data stream to perform a least‐squares channel estimation.

Analysis of non-linear distortions on MC-CDMA

ICC '98. 1998 IEEE International Conference on Communications. Conference Record. Affiliated with SUPERCOMM'98 (Cat. No.98CH36220), 2002
We analyze the influence of the effects of the non-linearity due to high power amplifiers in MC-CDMA scheme using BPSK modulation. The results are compared to those obtained with the classical BPSK modulated DS-CDMA scheme. It is shown that without predistortion the total degradation for the up-link of a cellular mobile communications system is about 2

ICA detection for MC-CDMA systems

2012 International Symposium on Intelligent Signal Processing and Communications Systems, 2012
The multicarrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) technique has received considerable attention due to its high data rate for future wireless communication systems. A common problem to multiuser MC-CDMA detectors under Rayleigh fading channels is that the performance is very sensitive to the signature waveform mismatch (SWM) induced by channel ...

Spreading Sequence Design for MC-CDMA Systems

2007 IEEE International Conference on System of Systems Engineering, 2007
The paper presents a new approach of optimal spreading sequence allocation in the uplink of a multi-carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) system. The algorithm is implemented as a distributed optimization problem, where each user will minimize its cost function, by choosing a codeword that suits better to the interference pattern.

Linear Precoding for Downlink MC-CDMA Systems

2007 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference, 2007
In this paper, as an alternative to post-detection techniques, we derive two iterative joint linear precoding and power allocation methods for downlink MC-CDMA systems with multiple transmit antennas at the base station. The first method optimally solves the so called assigned target SINRs problem, i.e.

Intercell Interference Cancellation for MC-CDMA Systems

2007 IEEE 65th Vehicular Technology Conference - VTC2007-Spring, 2007
This article considers the problem of intercellular interference cancellation for downlink MC-CDMA systems. Throughout this work, we mainly focus on parallel interference cancellation (PIC) techniques due to the low latency they present. After deriving a version of a classical PIC receiver, suitably tuned to take into account the intercellular ...

M-ary MC-CDMA system for 4G

IEEE 54th Vehicular Technology Conference. VTC Fall 2001. Proceedings (Cat. No.01CH37211), 2002
In this paper, we present a M-ary MC-CDMA system for 4G which can support data rates up to 20 Mbps. In the transmitter, data bits are serial to parallel converted, then applying M-ary orthogonal modulation, the modulated symbol is spread using each chip of complex orthogonal codes.
