Performance Evaluation and ParameterOptimization of MC-CDMA

IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2006
The performance of multicarrier systems depends on the propagation channel behavior. The latter is subject to time and/or frequency selectivity. The designer has to select properly the guard interval and the number of carriers for a given system bandwidth to combat the channel dispersiveness. In this paper we investigate the sensitivity of MultiCarrier

MC-CDMA Indoor Optical Wireless System

IEEE GLOBECOM 2007-2007 IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference, 2007
Multicarrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) is a transmission scheme that combines the robustness of orthogonal modulation with the flexibility of CDMA schemes. It can lower the symbol rate and is therefore suited to the bandwidth limited optical wireless indoor channel.

Maximum likelihood combining for MC-CDMA

Vehicular Technology Conference. IEEE 55th Vehicular Technology Conference. VTC Spring 2002 (Cat. No.02CH37367), 2003
This paper proposes a novel maximum likelihood combining (MLC) scheme for MC-CDMA systems. Currently, minimized mean square error combining (MMSEC) is widely considered the best combining scheme for MC-CDMA. The MLC proposed in this paper is optimal from the standpoint of minimizing the probability of error performance.

Beam-forming for MC-CDMA systems

The 2002 45th Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2002. MWSCAS-2002., 2003
In this paper, the use of adaptive antenna arrays for MC-CDMA systems in an interference-dominated environment is investigated. We present two different beam-forming approaches, namely, frequency domain and time domain beam-forming. Beam-forming performance over different channel conditions such as flat fading, frequency selective fading, low and high ...

Adaptive beamforming for MC-CDMA systems

International Journal of Mobile Network Design and Innovation, 2010
A novel beamforming algorithm is proposed for MC-CDMA systems under time varying channel conditions to suppress the interference in the presence of strong interferers. An iterative algorithm which computes the beamforming weight vectors is presented in this paper.

Intercell Interference Investigation of MC-CDMA

2005 IEEE 61st Vehicular Technology Conference, 2005
The rapid growth of Internet services and increasing interest in portable computing devices creates an even larger demand for high-speed wireless data services in the future. Especially in the downlink, high throughput is needed since the number of downloads of large data files from web sites and servers increases.

Adaptive MC-CDMA for NGN

2008 International Conference on Microwave and Millimeter Wave Technology, 2008
MC-CDMA is a promising candidate for the next generation network (NGN). In MC-CDMA systems, each data undergoes a different channel condition and arrives with a different error rate at the base station. By transmitting message data based on the Channel State Information (CSI), a new data transmission scheme called "Adaptive Multi-Carrier CDMA" is ...

MC-CDMA for optical wireless communications

SPIE Proceedings, 2005
MC-CDMA is a spectrum-efficient modulation in RF systems. Here it is used in optical wireless communications. Performance is simulated by using multiuser detection. Spatial Diversity is also considered and analyzed.

Power allocation algorithm in MC-CDMA

2002 IEEE International Conference on Communications. Conference Proceedings. ICC 2002 (Cat. No.02CH37333), 2003
We propose an algorithm to allocate power among subcarriers in an MC-CDMA system. The optimal power allocation coefficients turn out to be the maximum eigenvalue eigenvector of the modified projection matrix orthogonal to the interference signal subspace. We also present a simple on-off control algorithm to decrease feedback information.

Iterative Channel Estimation for MC-CDMA

2005 IEEE 61st Vehicular Technology Conference, 2005
We investigate the performance of a downlink multi-carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) system employing a receiver with iterative channel estimation (ICE). The MC-CDMA system transmits several data symbols per user and per orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol in parallel, with each data symbol being spread with a Walsh ...
