Performance Comparison of FH/MC DS-CDMA with Single- and Multi-Carrier DS-CDMA [PDF]

open access: possible, 2000
In this contribution we review the slow frequency hopping multicarrier direct-sequence code-division multiple-access (SFH/MC DS-CDMA). Then, the system's performance is ecalated and compared to that of the conventional single-carrier (SC) DS-CDMA and MC DS-CDMA under the assumptions of constant system bandwidth and of constant transmitted signal power.

Design of Reduced-Rank MMSE Combiner in Asynchronous MC-DS-CDMA

2008 IEEE International Conference on Communications, 2008
In this paper, we consider the design of a reduced- rank minimum mean-squared error (MMSE) combiner in an asynchronous multicarrier-direct sequence-code division multiple access (MC-DS-CDMA) system. It is shown that the combiner weights are related to quantities whose expressions resembles the eigenvalue moments of the interference autocorrelation ...

Blind MC-DS-CDMA Parameters Estimation in Frequency Selective Channels

2009 IEEE Globecom Workshops, 2009
An apportunistic or cognitive radio system needs accurate knowledge of the radio spectrum it operates. The concept of cognitive radio is also exploited in the railway context in order to satisfy high availability and interoperability of wireless telecommunication systems everywhere as required by operational or safety applications deployed by the ...

PAPR Reduction in MC/DS CDMA System by DFT Spreading Codes

Third International Conference on Information Technology and Applications (ICITA'05), 2005
Multi-carrier direct sequence code division multiple access (MC/DS CDMA) technique is one of the optimum technique for the reverse link mobile transmission. However, because of multi-carrier property, large PAPR (peak to average ratio) may be generated in MC/DS CDMA system.

The effect of carrier frequency offsets on downlink and uplink MC-DS-CDMA

IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, 2001
In this paper, we study the sensitivity of uplink and downlink MC-DS-CDMA to carrier frequency offsets, assuming orthogonal spreading sequences. For both uplink and downlink MC-DS-CDMA, we show that the performance rapidly degrades for an increasing ratio of maximum frequency offset to carrier spacing. We point out that the degradation in the uplink is

Uplink and Downlink MC-DS-CDMA Synchronization Sensitivity

2004
In this paper, we consider the effect of synchronization errors on the performance of the multicarrier direct-sequence code-division multiple access (MC-DS-CDMA) system and compare the results for downlink and uplink transmission. To evaluate the effect of small synchronization errors on the BER performance of the MC-DS-CDMA system, we derive simple ...

Concatenated and interleaving codes for MC DS CDMA using Cadence virtuoso

International Journal of Electronic Security and Digital Forensics, 2016
Multi carrier DS CDMA technique is the next generation mobile communication system for future advances. Error correcting codes and concatenated codes are used for correcting the errors in data transmission. In this paper, hybrid concatenated codes for MC DS CDMA structure has been proposed and parameters like usage time, power consumption and area are ...

Low Probability of Detection QS-MC-DS-CDMA for Low VHF

2019 International Conference on Military Communications and Information Systems (ICMCIS), 2019
Tactical military ad-hoc networks usually rely on easily and quickly deployable infrastructure. In such systems reliable communication may be compromised due to imperfect synchronization. QS-MC-DS-CDMA is a solution that allows loose synchrony by employing, so called, LS-codes that are characterized by a zero-correlation zone (ZCZ) that enables ...

On the Impact of CFO for an MC-DS-CDMA System in Weibull Fading Environments

Wireless Personal Communications, 2010
On the basis of CFO (carrier frequency offset) point of view, the system performance results from the analysis by adopting the channel scenarios characterized as Weibull fading for an MC-DS-CDMA (multi-carrier direct-sequence coded-division multiple-access) system is proposed in this article.

Efficient MAI Cancellation Scheme in MC-DS-CDMA Using SIC

International Journal of Parallel Programming, 2018
As of late, the group of multi carrier direct sequence code division multiple access (MC-DS-CDMA) transmission technologies has drawn a considerable measure of consideration in giving broadband wireless communication services. It stands as a promising procedure to help multiple clients with secured high speed wireless communications.
