Alpinetin Nanoparticles Alleviate Optic Nerve Injury Induced by Acute Glaucoma via LRP1‐PPARγ Mediated Regulation of Microglial Lipid Metabolism

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Microglial lipid metabolic dysfunction drives neurodegeneration in glaucoma. We found loss of LRP1 causes lipid accumulation and inflammation. We developed alpinetin‐loaded nanoparticles (AlpNPs) that bind LRP1, activate the PPARγ‐LXRα‐ABCA1 pathway to restore lipid homeostasis, promote an anti‐inflammatory phenotype, and protect retinal ganglion cells,

Catalytic Depolymerization of Polyester Waste via Zinc Oxide‐Decorated Silica

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Plastics recycling into value‐added products has attracted much interests, but generally comes at a high energy cost. Here, the authors present a zinc oxide‐decorated silica catalyst for the efficient depolymerization of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) into bis(2‐hydroxyethyl)terephthalate (BHET) and ethylene glycol (EG).

The Adsorption of Pentachlorophenol from Aqueous Solutions onto Exchanged Al-MCM-41 Materials

open access: yesAdsorption Science & Technology, 2004
The ability of a mesoporous molecular sieve to adsorb chlorinated phenols was studied experimentally. Thus, the adsorption isotherms of pentachlorophenol (PCP) from aqueous solutions were measured on (M)Al-MCM-41 (M = Na + , K + , Cu 2+ , Cr 3+ ) at ...
