Monetary Policy Shocks and Exchange Rate Dynamics in Small Open Economies
ABSTRACT This paper investigates whether the effects of monetary policy shocks on real exchange rates have changed over time and, if so, whether these changes stem from shifts in transmission mechanisms or from variation in the volatility of the shocks themselves.

Evaluation of fall‐seeded cover crops for grassland nesting waterfowl in eastern South Dakota
Cover crops are experiencing a revival among Midwestern farmers, and we assessed their attractiveness and safety for nesting ducks in South Dakota. Nest success was markedly lower in cover crops than in perennial cover during both years of our study, including 2019 which was a best‐case scenario for cover crops, with extremely wet conditions delaying ...

Optimal proposal distributions and adaptive MCMC [PDF]
. We review recent work concerning optimal proposal scalings for Metropolis-Hastings MCMC algorithms, and adaptive MCMC algorithms for trying to improve the algorithm on the fly. 1. Introduction. The Metropolis-Hastings algorithm (Metropolis et al., 1953;

Bayesian Model Averaging in Causal Instrumental Variable Models
ABSTRACT Instrumental variables are a popular tool to infer causal effects under unobserved confounding, but choosing suitable instruments is challenging in practice. We propose gIVBMA, a Bayesian model averaging procedure that addresses this challenge by averaging across different sets of instrumental variables and covariates in a structural equation ...

Fiscal Policy Regimes in Resource‐Rich Economies
ABSTRACT We analyse fiscal policy in resource‐rich economies using a novel Bayesian regime‐switching panel model. The identified regimes capture pro‐ or countercyclical fiscal behaviour by allowing regime‐specific shifts in the average fiscal stance, while the switches between the regimes have the interpretation of changes in fiscal policy.

MCMC results of each parameter.
MCMC chains (A), distributions (B), and correlation matrix (C) of all nine parameters. Results of Geweke convergence diagnostic method were shown in the top of each chain (A), and P>0.05 was diagnosed as convergent chain. The MCMC algorithm ran for 2×106

Abstract Background Adolescence is marked by increased vulnerability to sleep disturbances and mood disorders. Understanding how day‐to‐day changes in sleep and mood are linked within the same individual is crucial for clarifying sleep's role in emerging internalizing disorders. However, the extent to which an adolescent's fluctuations in sleep predict

Phase randomisation: a convergence diagnostic test for MCMC
Most MCMC users address the convergence problem by applying diagnostic tools to the output produced by running their samplers. Potentially useful diagnostics may be borrowed from diverse areas such as time series.

Abstract Adverse and benevolent childhood experiences (ACEs and BCEs, respectively) are uniquely associated with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex PTSD (CPTSD); however, there is no systematic review on the mechanisms of these associations.
