Study of NaI(Tl) detector dosimetry response based on Spector-Dosimetry method using MCNPX code [PDF]
Gamma ray measurement in various research fields requires high efficient detectors. In photon dosimetry, NaI(Tl) scintillation detector as one of the inorganic scintillation detector is noticeable, due to have the high amount of light output.

Simulating Proton Radiation Tolerance of Perovskite Solar Cells for Space Applications
Dang‐Thuan and co‐authors suggest a novel approach for predicting proton‐radiated degradation in perovskite solar cells. They combine ion scattering and optoelectronic simulations to overcome experimental constraints. FAMAPbI3‐based (lighter materials) cells show higher radiation tolerance than CsPbI2Br (heavier materials).

Status of the MCNPX Transport Code [PDF]
The Monte Carlo particle transport code MCNPX and its associated data have been the focus of a major development effort at Los Alamos for several years. The system has reached a mature state, and has become a significant tool for many intermediate and high-energy particle transport applications.

Abstract Background and Objective Avoiding the underlying healthy tissue over‐exposure during breast intraoperative electron radiotherapy (IOERT) is owing to the use of some dedicated radioprotection disks during patient irradiation. The originated contaminant photons from some widely used double‐layered shielding disks including PMMA+Cu, PTFE+steel ...

Influence of metal of the applicator on the dose distribution during brachytherapy. [PDF]
This study explores how the metal materials of the applicator influence the dose distribution when performing brachytherapy for cervical cancer. A pinpoint ionization chamber, Monte Carlo code MCNPX, and treatment planning system are used to evaluate the

Abstract Background Recent developments in alpha and beta emitting radionuclide therapy highlight the importance of developing efficient methods for patient‐specific dosimetry. Traditional tabulated methods such as Medical Internal Radiation Dose (MIRD) estimate the dose at the organ level while more recent numerical methods based on Monte Carlo (MC ...

Development of easy-to-use interface for nuclear transmutation computing, VCINDER code
The CINDER code has about 60 years of development history, and is thus one of the world's best transmutation computing codes to date. Unfortunately, it is complex and cumbersome to use.

Monte Carlo analysis of energy deposition and X-ray fluence in cylindrical anode systems. [PDF]
Abstract Background Cylindrical anode X‐ray systems are increasingly used in multisource imaging; however, electron beam interactions with the curved anodes cause geometric distortions that alter energy deposition and X‐ray emission. Understanding these effects is key to optimizing system performance.
