Asymmetric Entanglement-Assisted Quantum MDS Codes Constructed from Constacyclic Codes [PDF]
Due to the asymmetry of quantum errors, phase-shift errors are more likely to occur than qubit-flip errors. Consequently, there is a need to develop asymmetric quantum error-correcting (QEC) codes that can safeguard quantum information transmitted ...

MDS Constacyclic Codes and MDS Symbol-Pair Constacyclic Codes [PDF]
Symbol-pair codes are used to protect against symbol-pair errors in high density data storage systems. One of the most important tasks in symbol-pair coding theory is to design MDS codes.

Application of Classical Hermitian Self-Orthogonal MDS Codes to Quantum MDS Codes [PDF]
In this paper, we first construct several classes of classical Hermitian self-orthogonal maximum distance separable (MDS) codes. Through these classical codes, we are able to obtain various quantum MDS codes. It turns out that many of our quantum codes are new in the sense that the parameters of our quantum codes cannot be obtained from all previous ...

On the Weights of General MDS Codes [PDF]
The weight spectra of MDS codes of length $ n $ and dimension $ k $ over the arbitrary alphabets are studied. For all $ q $-ary MDS codes of dimension $ k $ containing the zero codeword, it is shown that all $ k $ weights from $ n $ to $ n-k+1 $ are realized. The remaining case $ n=q+k-1 $ is also determined.

Constructions of MDS-convolutional codes [PDF]
Maximum-distance separable (MDS) convolutional codes are characterized through the property that the free distance attains the generalized singleton bound. The existence of MDS convolutional codes was established by two of the authors by using methods from algebraic geometry.

A Family of Optimal Linear Functional-Repair Regenerating Storage Codes [PDF]
We construct a family of linear optimal functional-repair regenerating storage codes with parameters {m,(n,k),(r,α,β)}={(2r−α+1)α/2,(r+1,r),(r,α,1)} for any integers r,α with 1≤α≤r, over any field when α∈{1,r−1,r}, and over any finite field Fq with q≥r−1

Entanglement-Assisted Quantum Codes from Cyclic Codes
Entanglement-assisted quantum-error-correcting (EAQEC) codes are quantum codes which use entanglement as a resource. These codes can provide better error correction than the (entanglement unassisted) codes derived from the traditional stabilizer ...
