Optimal mean value estimates beyond Vinogradov's mean value theorem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We establish improved mean value estimates associated with the number of integer solutions of certain systems of diagonal equations, in some instances attaining the sharpest conjectured conclusions.

Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

Proof of Lagrange Mean Value Theorem and its Application in Text Design

open access: yesChemical Engineering Transactions, 2016
At present, there are a lot of papers on Lagrange mean value theorem proving method, the paper On the application of the theorem is not in a few, but text designs from the perspective of curriculum explore proving a theorem and its application to the ...

Analyzing Electronic Excitations and Exciton Binding Energies in Y6 Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The Y6 molecule is used for increasing the efficiency of organic solar cells. The exciton binding energy is calculated for ensembles of Y6 molecules that are representative of the typically used films. The calculations show that the excitons typically spread out over many molecules.

Some mean value theorems as consequences of the Darboux property [PDF]

open access: yesMathematica Bohemica, 2017
The aim of the paper is to present some mean value theorems obtained as consequences of the intermediate value property. First, we will prove that any nonextremum value of a Darboux function can be represented as an arithmetic, geometric or harmonic mean

Stacking‐Engineered Magnonic Topology and Transport in Honeycomb Homobilayers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Topological magnons have emerged as a promising platform for dissipationless bosonic transport. However, a straightforward and effective strategy to engineer such topological states in real materials has yet to be fully realized. Here, a general scheme for controlling magnonic topological states via stacking engineering in van der Waals ...

Second order differentiability of the intermediate-point function in Cauchy's mean-value theorem

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory, 2015
If the functions \(f,g:I\rightarrow \mathbb{R}\) are differentiable on the interval \(I\subseteq \mathbb{R}\), \(a\in I,\) then there exists a function \(\bar{c}:I\rightarrow I\) such that $$ \left[ f\left( x\right) -f\left( a\right) \right] g ...

The First Mean Value Theorem for Integrals [PDF]

open access: yesFormalized Mathematics, 2008
For simplicity, we use the following convention: X is a non empty set, S is a σ-field of subsets of X, M is a σ-measure on S, f , g are partial functions from X to R, and E is an element of S. One can prove the following three propositions: (1) If for every element x of X such that x ∈ dom f holds f(x) ≤ g(x), then g − f is non-negative.

Diagrammatic theory for Anderson Impurity Model. Stationary property of the thermodynamic potential [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
A diagrammatic theory around atomic limit is proposed for normal state of Anderson Impurity Model. The new diagram method is based on the ordinary Wick's theorem for conduction electrons and a generalized Wick's theorem for gtrongly correlated impurity ...

2D Magnetic and Topological Quantum Materials and Devices for Ultralow Power Spintronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
2D magnets and topological quantum materials enable ultralow‐power spintronics by combining robust magnetic order with symmetry‐protected, Berry‐curvature‐driven transport. Fundamentals of 2D anisotropy and spin‐orbit‐coupling induced band inversion are linked to scalable growth and vdW stacking.
