In the article, we present the best possible parameters λ = λ ( p ) $\lambda=\lambda (p)$ and μ = μ ( p ) $\mu=\mu(p)$ on the interval [ 0 , 1 / 2 ] $[0, 1/2]$ such that the double inequality G p [ λ a + ( 1 − λ ) b , λ b + ( 1 − λ ) a ] A 1 − p ( a , b )

Statistical Meaning of Mean Functions
The basic properties of the Fisher information allow to reveal the statistical meaning of classical inequalities between mean functions. The properties applied to scale mixtures of Gaussian distributions lead to a new mean function of purely statistical origin, unrelated to the classical arithmetic, geometric, and harmonic means.

Fuzzy classification in forest area for road design (Case study: Lirehsar forest, Tonekabon) [PDF]
Classification of forest area for determining optimum places for constructing forest roads has a great importance in protecting and managing of forest. However, high variability in classes introduces uncertainty in classification process.

On the mean square of the periodic zeta-function. II
In the paper, the error term in the Atkinson type formula for the periodic zeta-function in the critical strip is considered, and an asymptotic formula for its mean square is obtained. This formula generalizes that proved for the Riemann zeta-function.
