Parent‐to‐Child Information Disclosure in Pediatric Oncology
ABSTRACT Background Despite professional consensus regarding the importance of open communication with pediatric cancer patients about their disease, actual practice patterns of disclosure are understudied. Extant literature suggests a significant proportion of children are not told about their diagnosis/prognosis, which is purported to negatively ...

On mean square of the error term of a multivariable divisor function
Let $ \tau(n) $ be the Dirichlet divisor function and $ k\geqslant2 $ be a fixed integer. We give an asymptotic formula of the mean square of$ \begin{equation*} \Delta_k(x) = \sum\limits_{n_1, \cdots, n_k\leqslant x}\tau(n_1 \cdots n_k)-x^kP_k(\log x ...

ABSTRACT Introduction Cognitive impairment and exercise intolerance are common in dialysis patients. Cerebral perfusion and oxygenation play a major role in both cognitive function and exercise execution; HD session per se aggravates cerebral ischemia in this population. This study aimed to compare cerebral oxygenation and perfusion at rest and in mild

On the mean square of the periodic zeta-function. II
In the paper, the error term in the Atkinson type formula for the periodic zeta-function in the critical strip is considered, and an asymptotic formula for its mean square is obtained. This formula generalizes that proved for the Riemann zeta-function.

Compressed Sensing over $\ell_p$-balls: Minimax Mean Square Error [PDF]
We consider the compressed sensing problem, where the object $x_0 \in \bR^N$ is to be recovered from incomplete measurements $y = Ax_0 + z$; here the sensing matrix $A$ is an $n \times N$ random matrix with iid Gaussian entries and $n < N$.

Performance Analysis of l_0 Norm Constraint Least Mean Square Algorithm
As one of the recently proposed algorithms for sparse system identification, $l_0$ norm constraint Least Mean Square ($l_0$-LMS) algorithm modifies the cost function of the traditional method with a penalty of tap-weight sparsity. The performance of $l_0$

ABSTRACT Background Chronic kidney disease is a growing public health problem worldwide, and the number of patients requiring renal replacement therapy is steadily increasing. Türkiye has experienced a similar rise in both the incidence and prevalence of renal replacement therapy over the past decades; however, national‐level projections of future ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Operation of Hebbian least mean square controlled distributed static compensator
The motivation of this paper is to introduce a new Hebbian least mean square control algorithm for two level self‐supported voltage source converter based distributed static compensator. The Hebbian least mean square controller is employed on the various
