Mean-Square Stability of Milstein Methods for Stochastic Pantograph Equations [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Problems in Engineering, 2013
This paper deals with nonlinear stochastic pantograph equations. For solving the equations, a class of extended Milstein methods are suggested. A mean-square stability criterion for this type of equations is presented. It is proved that under the suitable conditions the Milstein methods preserve the mean-square stability.

Predator-prey Activity-Tuned Ecological System: An Exhilarating Rollercoaster of Survival [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematical, Engineering and Management Sciences
In natural ecosystems, the timing of daily activity in predator and prey plays a crucial role in determining their encounters and evolutionary outcomes. This study explores how coevolution in circadian activity patterns emerges from the dynamic interplay

Nonuniform Mean-square Exponential Dichotomies and Mean-square Exponential Stability

open access: yes, 2019
In this paper, the existence conditions of nonuniform mean-square exponential dichotomy (NMS-ED) for a linear stochastic differential equation (SDE) are established. The difference of the conditions for the existence of a nonuniform dichotomy between an SDE and an ordinary differential equation (ODE) is that the first one needs an additional assumption,

Sensitivity to small delays of mean square stability for stochastic neutral evolution equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
In this work, we are concerned about the mean square exponential stability property for a class of stochastic neutral functional differential equations with small delay parameters.

Mean-Square Non-Local Stability of Ship in Storm Conditions of Operation

open access: yesPolish Maritime Research, 2019
The purpose of the paper is to create a method for studying nonlocal stability in the mean and in the mean square of the ship, positioned on the beam of an intensive wind–waves mode, which is based on the use of the correlation theory of random functions

Mean square asymptotic stability characterisation of perturbed linear stochastic functional differential equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
In this paper we investigate the mean square asymptotic stability of a perturbed scalar linear stochastic functional differential equation. Specifically, we are able to give necessary and sufficient conditions on the forcing terms for convergence of the ...

Mean Square Exponential Stability of Stochastic Complex-Valued Neural Networks with Mixed Delays

open access: yesComplexity, 2019
This paper investigates the mean square exponential stability problem of a class of complex-valued neural networks with stochastic disturbance and mixed delays including both time-varying delays and continuously distributed delays.

Exponential Mean-Square Stability of Numerical Solutions to Stochastic Differential Equations [PDF]

open access: yesLMS Journal of Computation and Mathematics, 2003
AbstractPositive results are proved here about the ability of numerical simulations to reproduce the exponential mean-square stability of stochastic differential equations (SDEs). The first set of results applies under finite-time convergence conditions on the numerical method.
