CALCULATION OF MEAN TIME TO FAILURE OF INFOCOMMUNICATION SYSTEM WICH FAILURE RATE IS CYCLE CHANGED
In the article we describe a way of computation of mean time to failure of a system that consist of unrecoverable elements with constant failure rates (elements’ modes of use and storage alternate in a cycle way). We got exact and approximate formulas of mean time to failure and gave an example of computations with these formulas.

MOCA ARM: Analog Reliability Measurement based on Monte Carlo Analysis [PDF]
Due to the expected increase of defects in circuits based on deep submicron technologies, reliability has become an important design criterion. Although different approaches have been developed to estimate reliability in digital circuits and some ...

Investigation of influence of winding structure on reliability of permanent magnet machines
Winding is an important part of the electrical machine and plays a key role in reliability. In this paper, the reliability of multiphase winding structure in permanent magnet machines is evaluated based on the Markov model.

Evaluating mean time to security failure based on continuous-time Markov chains
In the article, we consider a Markov model of computer attacks, in the framework of which attacks and the system responses are modelled by homogeneous Poisson point processes. We describe a method of solving the corresponding Kolmogorov system of equations by calculating eigenvalues and eigenvectors of some matrix.

Comparative Reliability Analysis of Substation Automation Architecture Based on IEC 61850 Standard [PDF]
Using IEC 61850 standard would increase the reliability and availability of electricity network and put a huge impact on network automation. Even though much research works has been done in substation system reliability, there is a few works in automated

Limiting Behaviour of the Mean Residual Life
In survival or reliability studies, the mean residual life or life expectancy is an important characteristic of the model. Here, we study the limiting behaviour of the mean residual life, and derive an asymptotic expansion which can be used to obtain a ...
