On a mean value theorem connected with Hermite-Hadamard's inequality

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory, 2004
In this paper we prove a mean-value theorem for integral calculus, then we demonstrate properties of the mean point. In the end we give an extension of Hermite-Hadamard's inequality.

A mean-value inequality for the gamma function

open access: yesApplied Mathematics Letters, 2000
Inspired by a result of \textit{W. Gautschi} [SIAM J. Math. Anal. 5, 278--281 (1974; Zbl 0239.33002); ibid. 5, 282--292 (1974; Zbl 0239.33003)], \textit{G. J. O. Jameson} and the author proved in [Rend. Semin. Mat. Univ. Padova 137, 203--209 (2017; Zbl 1366.33003)] a similar result involving the digamma function in place of the gamma function.

Effectiveness of Resistance Intradialytic Exercise Compared to Aerobic Intradialytic Exercise for Patients With Chronic Kidney Disease: A Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Patients with chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis commonly experience reduced physical function, fatigue, poor sleep quality, and impaired health‐related quality of life. Intradialytic exercise has been proposed as a non‐pharmacological strategy to improve these outcomes.

On the Mean-Value Property of Harmonic Functions [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1971
In this note we show that if the areal mean-value theorem holds for a plane domain (subject to a mild regularity condition) for all integrable harmonic functions, then the domain must be a disk. It is also shown that if a plane domain with finite area has at least two boundary components which are continua then the mean-value property cannot hold for ...

Establishing an Apheresis Medicine Program in a Resource‐Constrained Setting: A 5‐Year Experience From Lagos, Nigeria

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Establishing a comprehensive apheresis medicine program in a resource‐constrained setting presents significant structural, financial, and logistical challenges. Despite the growing clinical importance of apheresis services globally, published experience from sub‐Saharan Africa remains sparse.

Equation of Finite Change and Structural Analysis of Mean Value

open access: yesAxioms, 2023
This paper describes a problem of finding the contributions of multiple variables to a change in their function. Such a problem is well known in economics, for example, in the decomposition of a change in the mean price via the varying in time prices and

Serum Myonectin Levels Are Positively Associated With Physical Function and Lower Frailty‐Related Limitation in Maintenance Hemodialysis Patients: A Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients frequently suffer from frailty, characterized by reduced physical function and poor prognosis. Myokines, such as myonectin, secreted by muscle, are emerging regulators of systemic health. This study investigated the relationship between serum myonectin, adipokines (adiponectin, omentin), and ...

Cauchy type means for some generalized convex functions

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2021
In this paper, we establish Jensen’s inequality for s-convex functions in the first sense. By using Jensen’s inequalities, we obtain some Cauchy type means for p-convex and s-convex functions in the first sense.

Comparative Evaluation of Hemodiafiltration, Hemoperfusion, and Standard Hemodialysis on Efficacy, Inflammatory Control, Dialysis Adequacy, and Safety in End‐Stage Renal Disease: A Prospective Observational Study

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic micro‐inflammation in patients with end‐stage renal disease (ESRD) is a significant driver of cardiovascular complications and diminished quality of life. While standard hemodialysis (SHD) effectively manages small‐molecule clearance, its ability to remove medium‐to‐large uremic toxins—the primary catalysts of systemic ...

Estimation of the two-parameter Weibull distribution parameters using the coefficient of variation

open access: yesVojnotehnički Glasnik, 1996
This paper presents a method for estimating the reliability function parameters when reliability function is the 2-parametar Weibull regression. This model is often used in a reliability analysis in wide variety of situations to approximate successfully ...
