Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Translation in the Teaching of a Foreign Language As a Means and As an End

open access: yesTEFLIN Journal, 2002
In the history of foreign language teaching translation has alternately been praised and condemned. Unfortunately, the praise and condemnation were based on a rather simplistic, biased, and extreme view of the role of translation. In this view no clear,

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

FINDINGS ON THE TRAINING CLASSES OPTIMIZE STARTING FOOTBALL [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of the “Ştefan cel Mare” University: Physical Education and Sport Section - The Science and Art of Movement, 2018
Evolution football game, which in recent decades has experienced a high level of progress at a speed game much improved, and possession of the ball as prolonged requires training future players since the earliest ages, so selection and training from ...

Vector-valued means and weakly almost periodic functions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1994
A formula is set up between vector-valued mean and scalar-valued means that enables us translate many important results about scalar-valued means developed in [1] to vector-valued means.

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Experimental Investigation and Performance Evaluation of Automated Emergency Braking (AEB) Systems Under Actual Driving Conditions

open access: yesVehicles
This paper presents an experimental study of the Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) system, focusing on three essential testing phases: verifying the match between calculated and actual brake actuator operation time, validating the forecasted vs.

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

Study on the development of motor aerobic endurance through specific means of playing football in secondary school students

open access: yesAnnals of the “Ştefan cel Mare” University: Physical Education and Sport Section - The Science and Art of Movement
The theoretical importance of the paper lies in the fact that it carries out a proper analysis of the theoretical concepts related to the motor quality endurance, the content of the school curriculum related to endurance and the specific training methods
