We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

On invariants for measure preserving transformations [PDF]
This paper applies the theory of definable equivalence relations developed in descriptive set theory to the study of the isomorphism relation among measure preserving transformations. Two invertible measure preserving transformations on the unit interval \(\sigma_1\) and \(\sigma_2\) are isomorphic if there exists another such transformation \(\pi ...

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Reversible entanglement beyond quantum operations
We introduce a reversible theory of exact entanglement manipulation by establishing a necessary and sufficient condition for state transfer under trace-preserving transformations that completely preserve the positivity of partial transpose (PPT).

FCDFusion: A fast, low color deviation method for fusing visible and infrared image pairs
Visible and infrared image fusion (VIF) aims to combine information from visible and infrared images into a single fused image. Previous VIF methods usually employ a color space transformation to keep the hue and saturation from the original visible ...

Rotations and Tangent Processes on Wiener Space
The paper considers (a) Representations of measure preserving transformations (``rotations'') on Wiener space, and (b) The stochastic calculus of variations induced by parameterized rotations $\{T_\theta w, 0 \le \theta \le \eps\}$: ``Directional ...

Erratum to "On Entropy and Generators of Measure-Preserving Transformations" [PDF]
Lemma (4.2) of this paper that appeared in Trans. Amer. Math. Soc. 149 (1970), 453-464, was stated incorrectly. To obtain the correct statement replace p(A0) >p(A1) + 2p(A2) by p(A0)>2p(A1)+2p(A2). (Cf. [2]. The lemma follows from Zaslavskil's work by using the coding system 221, 211, and by leaving symbols other than 0, 1, 2 unchanged in the coding ...

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

The problems of war and peace throughout the history of mankind remain the most discussed issues. Their solution is not only of purely theoretical interest, but also has an impact on the development of international law and relations between states ...

Rational weak mixing in infinite measure spaces
Rational weak mixing is a measure theoretic version of Krickeberg's strong ratio mixing property for infinite measure preserving transformations. It requires "{\tt density}" ratio convergence for every pair of measurable sets in a dense hereditary ring ...
