A review of agreement measure as a subset of association measure between raters [PDF]
Agreement can be regarded as a special case of association and not the other way round. Virtually in all life or social science researches, subjects are being classified into categories by raters, interviewers or observers and both association and ...

Sickle Cell Disease Is an Inherent Risk for Asthma in a Sibling Comparison Study
ABSTRACT Introduction Sickle cell disease (SCD) and asthma share a complex relationship. Although estimates vary, asthma prevalence in children with SCD is believed to be comparable to or higher than the general population. Determining whether SCD confers an increased risk for asthma remains challenging due to overlapping symptoms and the ...

When is the Haar measure a Pietsch measure for nonlinear mappings?
We show that, as in the linear case, the normalized Haar measure on a compact topological group $G$ is a Pietsch measure for nonlinear summing mappings on closed translation invariant subspaces of $C(G)$. This answers a question posed to the authors by J.

Polynomial measure of coherence [PDF]
Coherence, the superposition of orthogonal quantum states, is indispensable in various quantum processes. Inspired by the polynomial invariant for classifying and quantifying entanglement, we first define polynomial coherence measure and systematically ...

ABSTRACT Background While Wilms tumor (WT) typically has a favorable prognosis, relapsed cases—especially those with high‐risk histology—remain therapeutically challenging after intensive frontline therapy. The combination of vincristine and irinotecan has demonstrated activity in pediatric solid tumors, and pazopanib, a multi‐targeted tyrosine kinase ...

ABSTRACT We sought to identify potential early risk biomarkers for lung disease in children post‐allogeneic HCT. Patients with pulmonary function tests 3 months post‐transplant and plasma samples between days 7 and 14 post‐HCT were included. Six of 27 subjects enrolled had reduced forced expiratory volume 1 (FEV1) z scores.

Revisiting the measure of development: A critique of sustainametrics
For sustainametrics to gain a firm ground as an effective concept, the meaning of development shall be revisited first without depending on any statistical measurement.

Finding subsets of positive measure [PDF]
An important theorem of geometric measure theory (first proved by Besicovitch and Davies for Euclidean space) says that every analytic set of non-zero $s$-dimensional Hausdorff measure $\mathcal H^s$ contains a closed subset of non-zero (and indeed ...

ABSTRACT The pediatric hematology‐oncology fellowship training curriculum has not substantially changed since its inception. The first year of training is clinically focused, and the second and third years are devoted to scholarship. However, this current structure leaves many fellows less competitive in the current job market, resulting in ...
