Adipokines and Associations with Incident Osteoporotic Fracture in Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Purpose We assessed whether circulating adipokines are associated with incident fractures in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Methods Three adipokines (adiponectin, leptin, fibroblast growth factor [FGF]‐21) were measured using banked enrollment serum from participants in a longitudinal RA cohort.

A spatial data warehouse recommendation approach: conceptual framework and experimental evaluation

open access: yesHuman-Centric Computing and Information Sciences, 2015
Spatial data warehouses store a large amount of historized and aggregated data. They are usually exploited by Spatial OLAP (SOLAP) systems to extract relevant information. Extracting such information may be complex and difficult.

Clustering-Based Materialized View Selection in Data Warehouses

open access: yes, 2006
Materialized view selection is a non-trivial task. Hence, its complexity must be reduced. A judicious choice of views must be cost-driven and influenced by the workload experienced by the system.

Extreme Thermal Cycling of Anode‐Supported Microtubular Solid Oxide Fuel Cells Using a Novel Test Setup

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
A novel test setup is developed to perform extreme thermal cycling on microtubular solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs). The tested microtubular SOFC shows excellent tolerance to over 100 extreme thermal cycles at heating/cooling rates of ≈175/100 °C min−1.
