Measures of noncompactness and their applications

open access: yes, 2021
The measures of noncompactness are very useful tools in the theory of operatorequations in Banach spaces. In particular, the fixed point theorems derived fromthem have many important results. In this study, we state a general information onmeasures of noncompactness and fixed point theory. In addition, applications fromvarious topics are presented.

Solutions to nonlocal fractional differential equations using a noncompact semigroup

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2013
This article concerns the existence of solutions to nonlocal fractional differential equations in Banach spaces. By using a type of newly-defined measure of noncompactness, we discuss this problem in general Banach spaces without any compactness ...

Quasilinear nonlocal integrodifferential equations in Banach spaces

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2008
In this paper, we study the existence of mild solutions for quasilinear integrodifferential equations with nonlocal conditions in Banach spaces. The results are established by using Hausdorff's measure of noncompactness.
