Measurement Invariance of Alabama Parenting Questionnaire Across Age, Gender, Clinical Status, and Informant

Assessment (Odessa, Fla.), 2022
This study aimed to investigate the measurement invariance of the Alabama Parenting Questionnaire (for both long [APQ-lg] and short [APQ-9] forms) across age, gender, clinical status, and informant (i.e., parent vs. child reports).

Why We Need to Rethink Measurement Invariance: The Role of Measurement Invariance for Cross-Cultural Research

Cross-Cultural Research
Claims about human behavior have been hampered by limited availability of comparable data across cultures. Invariance testing has been proposed to address questions about the comparability of data, yet statistical methods have been challenged on various ...

Testing the Factorial Validity and Measurement Invariance of College Student Scores on the Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7) Scale Across Gender and Race

Measurement and Evaluation in Counseling and Development, 2021
Responses to the Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD-7) scale displayed high score reliability (α = .91) and adequate convergent and divergent validity for college undergraduates.

Cross-cultural measurement invariance of the fear of COVID-19 scale in seven Latin American countries

Death Studies, 2021
The objective was to evaluate the cross-cultural measurement invariance of the Fear of COVID-19 Scale (FCV-19S) in 7 Latin American countries (Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Paraguay, Argentina, and Uruguay).

Brief version of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (B-PSQI) and measurement invariance across gender and age in a population-based sample.

Psychological Assessment, 2020
The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) is the most widely used questionnaire in research and clinical practice to assess sleep quality. However, a brief version of this measure would improve its efficiency and applicability.

Invariant measures

1998
Abstract A measure is a generalization of what we mean by area in the plane and volume in three dimensions. A measure assigns a “size” to a set. Thus, for example, the measure of disjoint sets should be the sum of the measures of each. It turns out that there are some sets so “bad” that they cannot be assigned a measure in a natural way.

Measurement of color invariants

Proceedings IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition. CVPR 2000 (Cat. No.PR00662), 2002
This paper presents the measurement of object reflectance from color images. We exploit the Gaussian scale-space paradigm to define framework for the robust measurement of object reflectance from color images. Illumination and geometrical invariant properties are derived from a physical reflectance model based on the Kubelka-Munk theory.

Invariant, relatively invariant, and quasi-invariant measures

1989
In this section we discuss existence and uniqueness of invariant, relatively invariant and quasi-invariant measures on a space χ with an acting group G. In particular, the left and right invariant measures on G itself are considered, and several basic formulas relating these are derived. Various disintegration formulas are also presented.

Invariant Measure

2013
Bounded randomness of mass/energy exchange rates neither presuppose nor selects any specific time scale, thresholds of stability included. Nonetheless, the boundedness of the rates sets certain non-physical correlations among successive increments and thus justifies formation of “sub-walks” on the finest scale.
