Measurement Redundancy constrained Optimal PMU Locations
2021 International Conference on Sustainable Energy and Future Electric Transportation (SEFET), 2021Modern power networks are operating under heavy stress due to the intrusion of unprecedented loads and unpredictable energy resources. Networks are operated at their peak capacity to meet the demand. These circumstances forced the operators to opt for Wide Area Measurements and Control (WAMC) schemes for real-time monitoring, control, and protection ...

Redundancy in measures of depression
Journal of Clinical Psychology, 1988Three different scales of depression were administered to 108 subjects including hospitalized inpatients with a diagnosis of major depression (N = 36), inpatients on a renal service (N = 36), and nonhospitalized, healthy volunteers (N = 36). Subjects completed the Beck Depression Inventory and the Depression Adjective Checklist and were rated by a ...

A novel quantitative measure of redundancy for kinematically redundant manipulators
Proceedings 2001 ICRA. IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (Cat. No.01CH37164), 2002In this paper, a novel quantitative measure of redundancy, called refined redundancy index (RRI), which is measured in the joint-rate level, is proposed. Based on the concept that a larger solution space of the inverse kinematics problem represents larger redundancy, the RRI is defined as the normalized magnitude of the solution spaces.

Measures of Structural Redundancy in Reinforced Concrete Buildings. I: Redundancy Indices
Journal of Structural Engineering, 2004A method based on nonlinear pushover analysis is proposed to quantify the deterministic and probabilistic effects of redundancy on the strength of structural systems. Two indices, the redundancy strength index and the redundancy variation index, are introduced to measure these effects.
