Model-Aided State Estimation of HALE UAV With Synthetic AOA/SSA for Analytical Redundancy

open access: yesIEEE Sensors Journal, 2020
This paper proposes a novel dynamic model-aided navigation filter to estimate the safety-critical states of a high-altitude long-endurance (HALE) UAV without measurement of angle of attack (AOA) and sideslip angle (SSA).

Digital twins to accelerate target identification and drug development for immune‐mediated disorders

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Digital twins integrate patient‐derived molecular and clinical data into personalised computational models that simulate disease mechanisms. They enable rapid identification and validation of therapeutic targets, prediction of drug responses, and prioritisation of candidate interventions.

Modeling and empirical research of information redundancy on online social media

open access: yes大数据, 2018
To learn more about redundancy phenomenon,a measurement to quantify this redundancy was proposed and the probability of individual redundancy in the process of information diffusion was deduced.Using simulated networks, how information propagation rate ...

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Development of a Prediction Model for Progression Risk in High‐Grade Gliomas Based on Habitat Radiomics and Pathomics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To investigate the value of constructing models based on habitat radiomics and pathomics for predicting the risk of progression in high‐grade gliomas. Methods This study conducted a retrospective analysis of preoperative magnetic resonance (MR) images and pathological sections from 72 patients diagnosed with high‐grade gliomas (52 ...

Observability-Enhanced PMU Placement Considering Conventional Measurements and Contingencies

open access: yesIranian Journal of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2014
Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs) are in growing attention in recent power systems because of their paramount abilities in state estimation. PMUs are placed in existing power systems where there are already installed conventional measurements, which can be

Full Coverage of Optimal Phasor Measurement Unit Placement Solutions in Distribution Systems Using Integer Linear Programming

open access: yesEnergies, 2019
Integer linear programming (ILP) has been widely applied to solve the optimal phasor measurement unit (PMU) placement (OPP) problem for its computational efficiency.

Measurement of noise events in road traffic streams: initial results from a simulation study [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
A key question for road traffic noise management is whether prediction of human response to noise, including sleep quality, could be improved over the use of conventional energy equivalent, or percentile, measures, by accounting for noise events in road ...
