Digital representation of measurement uncertainty
Successful digital transformation of measurement quality infrastructures must capture and share information about the metrological traceability of measurement results. So appropriate representations of measurement uncertainty, which is the cornerstone of

Point-plane distance as model for uncertainty evaluation of coordinate measurement [PDF]
The paper presents a detailed theoretical background for coordinate measurement uncertainty evaluation by means of Type B evaluation method, taking into account information on accuracy of a coordinate measuring system given with the formula for maximum ...

Measurement uncertainty relations [PDF]
Measurement uncertainty relations are quantitative bounds on the errors in an approximate joint measurement of two observables. They can be seen as a generalization of the error/disturbance tradeoff first discussed heuristically by Heisenberg. Here we prove such relations for the case of two canonically conjugate observables like position and momentum,

Zero‐Sequence current measurement uncertainty in three‐phase power systems during normal operation
Zero‐sequence currents in high‐voltage power systems during normal operation can have a significant influence on nearby infrastructure. It is therefore necessary to gain insight into typical levels of zero‐sequence currents in a variety of operational ...

Pruning and measures of uncertainty [PDF]
We introduce a new property, pruning, for measures of uncertainty and investigate its consequences. In particular, we derive a new characterization of the additive, subadditive and symmetric entropies without assuming expansibility. Pruning also provides a new motivation for Hartley's entropy.

Approaches to evaluating measurement uncertainty [PDF]
The Guide to the expression of measurement uncertainty, (GUM, JCGM 100) and its Supplement 1: propagation of distributions by a Monte Carlo method, (GUMS1, JCGM 101) are two of the most widely used documents concerning ...

A measuring method of standard resistance and analysis of measuring results
DC standard resistance is widely used in precision measurement, verification, traceability and other fields due to its high accuracy and good stability. First-class resistance standard has used to measure it based on the bridge turn equilibrium principle.

Uncertainty of Thermographic Temperature Measurement with an Additional close-up Lens
The thermographic temperature measurement is burdened with uncertainty. This non-contact temperature measurement method makes it possible to measure the temperature of the electrical device under load.

Uncertainty in Measurement [PDF]
Measurements of physical quantities are the corner stone upon which we humans have built the scientific perception of the world. Measurements are the distinctive means to tell the scientific truth apart from any other approach to knowledge. The fundamental concepts of measurement and uncertainty in measurement have been analysed with reference to ...

Evaluation of Measurement Uncertainty Based on Monte Carlo Method
The developments of scientific technology are inseparable from various measurement methods. Measurement uncertainty is an indication that evaluates the credibility of the measurement results directly, and it affects the development of technology and ...
