Collaboration in Cross‐Jurisdictional Water Quality Governance: A Novel Framework and Case Study

open access: yesWorld Water Policy, Volume 12, Issue 3, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Collaborative governance is often employed to address the inherent complexity of surface water quality governance and provides a structure for cooperation across federal, tribal, state, and local boundaries. However, although guidance exists for assessing specific dimensions of collaborative governance, tools to comprehensively evaluate the ...

Wood anatomical trait correlations with hydraulic efficiency and safety in an aseasonal wet tropical forest

open access: yesFunctional Ecology, Volume 40, Issue 8, Page 2701-2717, August 2026.
Read the free Plain Language Summary for this article on the Journal blog. Abstract Xylem anatomy underpins the capacity of trees to transport water while avoiding hydraulic failure, shaping species performance and resilience to climate change. However, the specific ways anatomical traits underpin hydraulic trade‐offs in tropical forests remain debated.

Demographic buffering in natural populations: A multi‐level perspective

open access: yesJournal of Animal Ecology, Volume 95, Issue 8, Page 1298-1310, August 2026.
We introduce a multi‐level framework that unites stochastic elasticities with nonlinear selection to test demographic buffering. Applying it across mammals reveals a key insight: ecological robustness to variability often decouples from evolutionary constraint, reshaping how we understand resilience under environmental stochasticity.

MECANISMOS MOLECULARES NO HIRSUTISMO

open access: yesClinical and Biomedical Research, 2022
Androgens are the main hormonal regulators of human hair growth and they are related to clinical conditions such as hirsutism. The aim of this study was to analyze the gene expression of androgen receptor (AR), type 1 and type 2 5a-reductase isoenzymes (5a R1 and 2) and type 2 17b hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase (17b-HSD 2) in plucked scalp hairs from ...
