Multiple cases of methicillin-resistant CC130 Staphylococcus aureus harboring mecC in milk and swab samples from a Bavarian dairy herd [PDF]
The discovery of a new mecA homolog, mecC, necessitates a modification of diagnostic procedures for the identification of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), as most assays used for the genotypic and phenotypic mecA detection cannot ...

In this paper, we propose a new semantic clone detection technique by comparing programs' abstract memory states, which are computed by a semantic-based static analyzer. Our experimental study using three large-scale open source projects shows that our technique can detect semantic clones that existing syntactic- or semantic-based clone detectors miss.

Use of MECC for aortic valve replacement (AVR) was first reported in 2004 [1]. The main advantages of MECC for AVR were reported to include significantly reduced chest tube drainage, lower haemodilution and higher haematocrit [2–4]; it also allows for higher time course of haematocrit at all time points during the operation [2]. This translates in less

HPLC-MS and MECC analysis of coumarins
Chromatographia, 1997MECC separation of 11 coumarins has been achieved by use of a running electrolyte at pH 10.4 prepared from 50 mM boric acid, 10 mM sodium tetraborate and 100 mM sodium hydroxide. The buffer solution contained 50 mM SDS and, as organic modifier 1%n-propanol.

MECC—The Perfusionist’s Point of View. One Decade MECC: From a Pioneering to Standard Procedure
2012Currently, cardiac surgery offers four options to treat coronary artery disease (CAD): conventional extracorporeal circulation (CECC), minimised extracorporeal circulation (MECC), pump-assisted beating heart (PACAB) and off-pump coronary artery bypass (OPCAB).

The Determination of Anabolic Steroids by MECC, Gradient HPLC, and Capillary GC
Journal of Forensic Sciences, 1994Abstract Methodologies are presented for the qualitative and quantitative determinations of anabolic steroids in forensic exhibits using micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MECC), high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and capillary gas chromatography (GC).

Comparison of CZE and MECC separations of MT isoforms
1999In order to characterize the biological functions of individual isoforms and especially sub-isoforms of metallothioneins (MT), analytical methods that provide a high degree of resolution are needed. Capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) and micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MECC) have been successfully adapted to the separation of MT ...

MECC in Non-coronary and Non-valve Procedures
2012Miniaturised CPB systems offer a new way of practising cardiac surgery and not only operating over coronaries but also dealing with heart valves. MECC exert a considerable beneficial effect on postoperative mortality as well as morbidity [1]. However, extracorporeal circulation is mandatory to perform heart surgery in other pathologies and may be ...

Of ammonium, lithium and sodium salts of dodecyl sulfate studied as surfactants in the separation of iridoid glycosides by micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MECC), the last one gave the best results. Eleven neutral iridoid glycosides were separated by MECC with sodium dodecyl sulfate as surfactant, and the water-micelle partition ...
