A Thermodynamic 3D Model for the Simulation of Diffusion‐Controlled Alloying Processes in Heterogeneous Material Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A numerical model resulting from irreversible thermodynamics for describing transport processes is introduced, focusing on thermodynamic activity gradients as the actual driving force for diffusion. Implemented in CUDA C++ and using CalPhaD methods for determining the necessary activity data, the model accurately simulates interdiffusion in aluminum ...

Methods of Logical-Juridical Reasoning applied to Judicial Decisions: The Jurisprudence like Mechanism of State Power

open access: yesRevista Facultad de Jurisprudencia, 2017
In this study, we will analyze how the dialectic provides methods that place the judge in a unique position within the power structure of the democratic system of the State. In the following pages, initially, by contrasting two classical methods such as the deduc-tive and the inductive, it will be possible to determine if in fact their apparent ...

Tribological Performance of 60NiTi Alloy Under Varying Contact Conditions and Elevated Temperatures in Linear Reciprocating Sliding

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates the tribological response of 60NiTi alloy under dry, water‐lubricated and high‐temperature conditions. The alloy exhibits decreasing wear volume and friction with increasing temperature due to the formation of protective oxide layers. The work clarifies dominant wear mechanisms and demonstrates the suitability of 60NiTi for high‐

The Unification of Germany: What Would Jhering Say? [PDF]

open access: yes, 1993
Two of Jhering\u27s ideas are crucial to understanding the problems besetting the merger of East and West Germany. They are (a) the centrality of the notion of private property as the foundation, not only of property rights, but of personal rights as ...

Enhanced Gamma Radiation Shielding Using Epoxy Quartz Fabric Composites Reinforced With CoCl2 Microparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The growing demand for lightweight, nontoxic, and multifunctional gamma shielding materials has intensified efforts to find alternatives to conventional lead and aluminum‐based protectants. In this work, we develop epoxy quartz fabric composites reinforced with cobalt chloride (CoCl2) microparticles, fabricated via hand lay‐up with varying filler ...

Domestic Mechanism of Statement’s Control During the Election Campaign – Guideline in the light of the ECtHR’s Jurisprudence

open access: yesToruńskie Studia Polsko-Włoskie, 2020
Preventing the progressive phenomena of negative campaign, demagogy and dissemination of false information is one the most important challenges for a qualitative election campaign. One of the solutions may be establishing accelerated electoral proceedings, for which a pattern can be sought inter alia, in polish legislation (article 111 of Polish ...

EBSD Study of Creep‐Induced Lattice Misorientation in MgO‐Particle‐Reinforced Austenitic Steel Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Creep experiments at 900°C on coarse‐grained steel‐ceramic composites containing recycled magnesia reveal that higher ceramic volume fractions significantly enhance the creep resistance. Detailed EBSD investigations identify subgrain formation in the steel matrix as the dominant deformation mechanism.

Sol–Gel Derived Polymer Precursors for Stereolithography of ZrC

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
ZrC is a critical material target for extreme temperature conditions. This report describes a protocol for preparing ZrC ceramics via stereolithography and examines the impact of the polymer matrix on carbothermal reduction and mechanical stability of 3D printed ZrC.
