Development of Non-Proprietary Ultra-High Performance Concrete Mixtures
The development of non-proprietary Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) is one way to reduce the initial cost of construction. However, workability is a major issue for which such mixtures are not practical in field conditions.

Mechanical strength of highly porous ceramics [PDF]
This paper reports on the mechanical strength of highly porous ceramics in terms of the Weibull and Duxbury-Leath distributions. More than 1000 side-crushing strength tests on silica-catalyst carriers of various particle sizes have been performed in series. Within a series, preparation conditions were kept constant.

A comparative experimental study of steel fibre-additive reinforced concrete beams
Five different batches of class C20 concrete, containing Dramix-RC-80/60-BN steel fibers (SFs) as additives at doses of 0, 30, 40, 50 and 60 kg/m3, and six Ø 15x30 cm prisms were poured from each batch.

Valorization of calcined kaolinitic clay used in high performance mortar
In this work, an experimental investigation was carried out to evaluate the potential of an industrial pozzolan, the metakaolin, on the behavior of mortar. The aim is to use metakaolin as a 10% partial replacement of cement.
