Creep‐Induced Microstructural Evolution in an A2‐B2 Superalloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A 27.3Ta‐27.3Mo‐27.3Ti‐8Cr‐10Al (at.%) refractory high‐entropy alloy with precipitation‐strengthened A2‐B2 microstructure was studied by creep tests at 1030°C, which demonstrate a transition in deformation mechanisms in the range of 100–150 MPa applied stress. This is associated with changes in dislocation–precipitate interactions. Relevant deformation

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Controlling vibration propagation in a thin beam using a neutraliser [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper is concerned with the control of vibration transmission along a thin beam using a vibration neutraliser. The analysis focuses on the case where the position of the neutraliser is constrained such that it cannot be at the source or the receiver,

Fast Object Detection in Light Field Imaging by Integrating Deep Learning with Defocusing

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2017
Although four-dimensional (4D) light field imaging has many advantages over traditional two-dimensional (2D) imaging, its high computation cost often hinders the application of this technique in many fields, such as object detection and tracking.
