Phytochemical Composition and Potential Bioactivity With ADMET Analysis of Selected Species From Myrtaceae Family

open access: yesFlavour and Fragrance Journal, EarlyView.
Investigation of four medicinal plants of the family Myrtaceae. ABSTRACT Compounds derived from natural sources continue to serve as chemical scaffolds for designing prophylactic/therapeutic options for human healthcare. This study aimed to evaluate the phytochemical composition, antioxidant potential, in vitro anti‐inflammatory, antibacterial and ...

Cultivation in rows – Weed control between stubble rows [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
By establishing catch crops in connection with the last weed control in the row in a grain crop and weed control row in the stubble after harvest, it is possible to do mechanical weed control of the entire cultivated area during the growing season and at

The Global Patent Landscape of Mushroom‐Derived Functional Foods: Current Status, Future Perspectives, and Artificial Intelligence–Driven Exploration

open access: yesFood Safety and Health, EarlyView.
The global patent landscape of mushroom‐derived functional food was widely analyzed, and AI‐integrated approaches realizing cost‐effective and reliable exploration of functional foods derived from mushrooms were explored. ABSTRACT Global health concerns and the increasing demand for nourishment have collectively driven the rising demand for functional ...

Changes in weed infestation of common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) under conditions of strip intercropping and different weed control methods

open access: yesActa Agrobotanica, 2012
The experiment was conducted in the years 2004-2006 in a private farm in the village of Frankamionka in Zamość district. There were two experimental factors: I. Cultivation methods - sole cropping and strip intercropping; and II.

Climate change effects on biomass and greenhouse gas emissions are ameliorated by nontoxic endophytes in southeastern USA transition zone tall fescue pastures

open access: yesGrassland Research, EarlyView.
Tall fescue produces more biomass and less carbon dioxide from the soil when it contains its beneficial fungal endophyte. Increased temperatures projected with climate change reduce fescue biomass, while altered rainfall frequency does not. Altering rainfall frequency and increasing temperatures can reduce carbon dioxide emissions from soil.

Review of research on weed management of chickpea in Iran: challenges, strategies and perspectives

open access: yesJournal of Plant Protection Research, 2020
Weeds are one of the most important limiting factors in the production of chickpea (Cicer arietinum) in Iran, especially in autumn sown chickpea. Weed density and biomass in autumn chickpea are seven and two and a half times higher than the spring ...

Effect of weed management strategies on the risk of enteric pathogen transfer into the food chain and lettuce quality [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The hygienic quality of raw edible vegetables such as lettuce may be influenced by pathogen transfer from soil to plant, which might occur during weed control by hoeing or as splash-effects during rainfall.

Three mechanical weed control techniques in spring cereals

open access: yesAgricultural and Food Science, 2000
An inter-row hoe suitable for cereals was developed for the study, and field experiments were conducted to compare inter-row hoeing with weed harrowing, rotary hoeing and chemical control. The treatments were performed once during the growing season. Inter-row hoeing was studied at row spacings of 180 mm and 250 mm.
