Programmable Pneumatic Actuator System for a Bioinspired Artificial Colon
A modular soft robotic colon simulator driven by programmable pneumatic actuation is developed to mimic physiological and pathological‐like motility patterns of the large intestine. Finite element–guided design and distributed control enable anatomically realistic deformation for peristalsis, segmentation, and mass movements, supporting capsule ...

A Whole‐Head Finite Element Model for Electrical Neuromodulation via Visual Brain‐Machine Interfaces
A multimodal, personalized head model is presented that integrates the entire visual pathway with surrounding tissues to simulate electrical stimulation of the optic nerve. In vivo validation in humans and goats, plus systematic component‐elimination analysis, demonstrates the high accuracy of the comprehensive model.

Use of mechanical ventilation in pediatric patients
Background/Aim. Major aims of mechanical ventilation (MV) in pediatrics mean the contribution to complete recovery of acute disorder or to establishing stability of previously long-term changed health condition. MV is used today in 16-46% of patients treated in pediatric intensive care units.

Bone cancer pain and depression share a common origin: astrocytic A2‐to‐A1 transition in the posterior piriform cortex. This phenotypic shift disrupts the ATP–adenosine–A2AR–norepinephrine axis, simultaneously driving nociceptive and affective dysfunction.
