Automated Tuberculosis Detection in Chest Radiographs: A Hybrid Deep Learning Framework for Clinical Decision Support

open access: yesApplied AI Letters, Volume 7, Issue 2, June 2026.
A hybrid deep learning framework integrating VGG16, ResNet50, and DenseNet121 is proposed for automated tuberculosis detection from chest X‐ray images. Feature‐level fusion enhances robustness and generalization, achieving 97.4% accuracy across multiple public datasets, supporting reliable clinical decision‐making in resource‐limited healthcare ...

A Melting‐Point Energy Window for Defect‐Induced Energy Release in Copper Nanoparticles

open access: yesphysica status solidi (a), Volume 223, Issue 7, 7 April 2026.
Point defects significantly modify the energetic landscape of copper nanoparticles during melting. Atomistic simulations reveal a distinct melting‐point energy window, where defect‐induced extra stored energy is sharply amplified and released. The results elucidate how defect concentration and particle size govern premelting instability, structural ...

Disciplinary faculty's curriculum‐embedded writing‐for‐publication instruction for graduate students: A systematic review

open access: yesReview of Education, Volume 14, Issue 1, April 2026.
Abstract Graduate students across the world are increasingly required or expected to publish in English‐medium academic journals, yet their capacity to do so often depends on the nature of pedagogical support available within their programs. While English for Research Publication Purposes (ERPP) instruction by language specialists has gained a growing ...

Microstructural and Thermal Evolution of Turbostratic and Crystalline hBN Using SPS With In‐Situ YAG

open access: yesJournal of the American Ceramic Society, Volume 109, Issue 4, April 2026.
hBN ceramics with an in‐situ formed YAG phase were fabricated by SPS using turbostratic and crystalline powders. The results show that the microstructure, textural orientation, and functional properties of hBN ceramics can be significantly controlled by sintering temperature, starting powder structure, and additives.
