Wood‐Derived Nanocellulose‐Biocarbon Fresnel‐Zone Plate Lenses for Sub‐THz Frequency Applications
Wood‐derived nanocellulose and lignin‐based biocarbon were combined to fabricate fully bio‐based Fresnel zone plate (FZP) lenses for sub‐terahertz frequencies. These sustainable FZP lenses exhibit low dielectric loss and high directivity, achieving performance comparable to that of metallic references, and remain functional under environmental stress ...

Women Who Quit: Media and Policy Discourse about Gender and Work
The article examines dominant media and policy discourse about women who leave paid employment in the context of motherhood and menopause. It shows that this discourse frames women’s decision to leave the workforce as a personal choice, minimising the ...

Two‐Dimensional Isotropic Spatial Differentiation Through Complete Polarization Control
This work enables two‐dimensional isotropic spatial differentiation at planar interfaces over a wide range of incident angles by extending the output polarization from linear to elliptical. The choice of incident angle can be used to balance broader spectral response at low angles and higher edge‐detection efficiency at larger angles.

A Deep Learning Approach for Network Intrusion Detection Using a Small Features Vector
With the growth in network usage, there has been a corresponding growth in the nefarious exploitation of this technology. A wide array of techniques is now available that can be used to deal with cyberattacks, and one of them is network intrusion ...

Low‐index and low‐loss vdW muscovite represents an emerging robust dielectric platform for the creation of next‐generation all‐vdW nanophotonic architectures. Its utilization as a low‐index building‐block in all‐vdW multilayers enables extreme optical contrast when paired with MoS2, paving the way to the realization of few‐layer ultrathin DBS ...

Large‐Area Flat Optics Color Routing in Tilted Arrays of 2D Semiconductor Nanostripes
We develop a scalable flat optics platform exploiting self‐organised ion‐beam sputtering and maskless glancing‐angle deposition to fabricate centimetre‐scale arrays of tilted MoS2 nanostripes. The engineered geometry activates Rayleigh anomalies, guided modes, and Mie resonances, enabling highly directional color routing and enhanced light harvesting ...

Helicity‐dependent all‐optical magnetization switching was demonstrated for the Bi‐ and Ga‐substituted rare‐earth (R) iron garnet crystal thin films (Bi,Ga:RIG; R = Eu3+, Nd3+, and Y3+). The efficiency followed the order EIG > NIG > YIG. These results show the correlation between 4f orbital moment (4f〈L〉) of R3+ and helicity‐dependent optical ...
