Two‐Dimensional Isotropic Spatial Differentiation Through Complete Polarization Control

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
This work enables two‐dimensional isotropic spatial differentiation at planar interfaces over a wide range of incident angles by extending the output polarization from linear to elliptical. The choice of incident angle can be used to balance broader spectral response at low angles and higher edge‐detection efficiency at larger angles.

Deterministic Transferable Planar Dielectric Mirrors for Investigating Strong Light–Matter Coupling

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Transferable dielectric distributed Bragg reflectors enable the deterministic assembly of high‐quality planar microcavities while maintaining the intrinsic properties of quantum materials during fabrication. The resulting structures exhibit robust exciton‐photon coupling in monolayer WS2${\rm WS}_{2}$ from cryogenic to room temperature, establishing a ...

Narratives on quantum technologies: a cross-domain analysis of media, business, and policy discourses

open access: yesData & Policy
Narratives shape public perceptions and policymaking around emerging technologies like quantum technologies (QTs), yet what narratives develop across different societal domains remains underexplored.

Successive Iteration of Positive Solutions for Fourth-Order Two-Point Boundary Value Problems

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
We are concerned with a fourth-order two-point boundary value problem. We prove the existence of positive solutions and establish iterative schemes for approximating the solutions.

Optically Active Birefringent Polymer–Lipid Hybrid Microparticles With Dual‐Stimuli Responsiveness

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
The present study reports on geometrically tunable, magnetic and NIR‐stimuli‐responsive anisotropic microparticles that exhibit intrinsic birefringence due to their lamellar crystalline architecture, enabling label‐free detection under a polarized light.

Hot Shoes in the Room: Authentication of Thermal Imaging for Quantitative Forensic Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Imaging, 2018
Thermal imaging has been a mainstay of military applications and diagnostic engineering. However, there is currently no formalised procedure for the use of thermal imaging capable of standing up to judicial scrutiny.

Photodoping in Wide‐Bandgap Perovskite Solar Cells With MXenes

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Ultrafast tandem spectroscopy and DFT modeling reveal the separate dynamics and the imbalance of electrons and holes in wide bandgap perovskite solar cells with MXene incorporation. The enhanced photoconversion performances of the devices are traced to photodoping, with selective hole trapping and suppressed recombination of electrons.
