A study on user innovative behavior of AI painting tools integrating SOR and Self-Determination theory

open access: yesScientific Reports
Addressing the ambiguity surrounding the formation mechanisms of user innovation behavior in AI painting tools, this study builds upon the Stimulus-Organism-Response framework by incorporating Self-Determination Theory to enhance the explanatory power of

Creep‐Induced Microstructural Evolution in an A2‐B2 Superalloy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A 27.3Ta‐27.3Mo‐27.3Ti‐8Cr‐10Al (at.%) refractory high‐entropy alloy with precipitation‐strengthened A2‐B2 microstructure was studied by creep tests at 1030°C, which demonstrate a transition in deformation mechanisms in the range of 100–150 MPa applied stress. This is associated with changes in dislocation–precipitate interactions. Relevant deformation

Radio After Radio: Redefining radio art in the light of new media technology through expanded practice [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
I have been working in the field of radio art, and through creative practice have been considering how the convergence of new media technologies has redefined radio art, addressing the ways in which this has extended the boundaries of the art form.

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

From Black Box to Transparency: The Impact of Multi-Level Visualization on User Trust in Autonomous Driving

open access: yesSensors
Autonomous systems’ “black-box” nature impedes user trust and adoption. To investigate explainable visualizations’ impact on trust and cognitive states, we conducted a within-subjects study with 29 participants performing high-fidelity driving tasks ...

Exploration of Pseudobinary Alloys (Al–Mn)‐(Co–Fe–Ni) to Design High‐Entropy and Compositionally Complex Alloys to Stabilize the τ Phase in Al–Mn‐Based Ferromagnetic Alloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This experimental study investigates the thermodynamic limits of the Al–Mn τ ferromagnetic phase within complex‐composition alloys (CCAs). Using nine rare‐earth‐free compositions, it explores a broad region of the pseudobinary AlMnCoFeNi system. The results reveal intricate links between composition, phase stability, and magnetic behavior, highlighting

All‐in‐One Analog AI Hardware: On‐Chip Training and Inference with Conductive‐Metal‐Oxide/HfOx ReRAM Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐in‐one analog AI accelerator is presented, enabling on‐chip training, weight retention, and long‐term inference acceleration. It leverages a BEOL‐integrated CMO/HfOx ReRAM array with low‐voltage operation (<1.5 V), multi‐bit capability over 32 states, low programming noise (10 nS), and near‐ideal weight transfer.

Optoelectronic Synaptic Devices Using Molecular Telluride Phase‐Change Inks for Three‐Factor Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.
