Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

Works Councils and Heterogeneous Firms [PDF]
Theoretical analyses of the effects of works councils show ambiguous results. Therefore an empirical investigation of the issue is inevitable. The results so far are mixed, frequently a positive effect on productivity, but a negative one on profits is ...

Entropy‐Driven Design of Low‐Melting‐Point Alloys via Compositionally Complex Strategy
Conventional low‐melting‐point alloys (LMPAs) are limited by a narrow compositional space and inherent property trade‐offs. This review presents an entropy‐driven design strategy that overcomes these limitations, ushering in a new class of low‐melting‐point compositionally complex alloys (LMCCAs).

HEA interlayers offer a versatile route for joining high‐performance structural materials. Their compositional and structural design regulates interfacial reactions, suppresses brittle IMCs, and improves metallurgical bonding. Sandwich interlayers further integrate defect healing with precipitation strengthening, enabling improved strength–ductility ...

This study proposes a potential device design for joint cartilage replacement. Silica‐polytetrahydrofuran (SiO2‐PolyTHF) hybrids with customizable mechanical properties were developed to mimic the characteristics of a natural meniscus. These were synthesized through a two‐pot sol–gel hybrid process.

Works Councils and the Productivity Impact of Direct Employee Participation [PDF]
This paper measures the productivity impact of management-led participative establishment practices. On the basis of a representative German establishment data set, the IAB establishment panel, the study finds that the presence of team-work, a reduction ...

Edible electronics needs integrated logic circuits for computation and control. This work presents a potentially edible printed chitosan‐gated transistor with a design optimized for integration in circuits. Its implementation in integrated logic gates and circuits operating at low voltage (0.7 V) is demonstrated, as well as the compatibility with an ...

Works councils and the anatomy of wages [PDF]
This paper provides the first full examination of the effect of German works councils on wages using matched employer-employee data (specifically, the LIAB for 2001). We find that works councils are associated with higher earnings.

Biomass Native Structure Into Functional Carbon‐Based Catalysts for Fenton‐Like Reactions
This study indicates that eight biomasses with 2D flaky and 1D acicular structures influence surface O types, morphology, defects, N doping, sp2 C, and Co nanoparticles loading in three series of carbon, N‐doped carbon, and cobalt/graphitic carbon. This work identifies how these structural factors impact catalytic pathways, enhancing selective electron
