Developments in ultrasound contrast media
European Radiology, 2001Ultrasound microbubble contrast agents are effective and safe echo enhancers. An ingenious array of methods are employed to achieve stability and provide a clinically useful enhancement period. Microbubbles enhance ultrasound signals by up to 25 dB (greater than 300-fold increase) due to resonant behaviour. This is used to rescue failed Doppler studies

Evolution Of Bicrystal Media Development
Digests of the Magnetic Recording Conference 'Magnetic Recording Media'., 1997A general review of studies on microstructure, magnetic properties and recording performance of bicrystal media grown on single crystal substrates, a NiP/AI substrate and a glass substrate is given. With similar magnetic properties, a direct experimental comparison of recording performance of CoCrPtTa /Cr/NiP films between the media with Cr (200) and ...

Development of Nonionic Contrast Media
Investigative Radiology, 1985In this brief history, the author reviews the observations that led to his developing a nonionic contrast medium. Current knowledge suggested that if a water-soluble medium could be made isotonic to human plasma, it would cause less pain and toxicity than the ionic media then in use.

DEVELOPMENT OF HIGHLY NUTRITIVE CULTURE MEDIA
In Vitro Cellular & Developmental Biology - Animal, 2001A highly nutritive culture medium (MGM-464) was developed for insect cell primary culture. The new medium consists of 6 inorganic salts, 4 organic acids, 21 amino acids, 3 sugars, 10 vitamins, and 8 other chemicals, including natural substances. The complete medium was generated by adding 20 ml fetal bovine serum to 100 ml MGM-464.
