UNIVERSAL - design spaces of learning media
Proceedings of the 34th Annual Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, 2005The paper illustrates how the model of computational media can be introduced in the field of higher education. In our practical work, we identified four distinct design spaces for learning media and named them as follows: artifact design space, agent design space, process design space, and business model design space.

Audio media is one of the most important, yet least considered and valued elements of exhibit design for public spaces. The historical and cultural roots of this oversight are considered in this document, along with ways to mitigate the problems through the implementation of powerful new delivery technologies and conceptual design.

Space has become an integral but invisible part of the fabric of modern-day life. Billions of people personally rely on the existence and operation of space systems as they go about their daily lives, yet this fact is largely unappreciated by those very same people.

Culture and Control in a Media Space
1993Media spaces integrate audio, video and computer networking technology in order to provide a rich communicative environment for collaboration. The connectivity which they provide brings with it important concerns regarding privacy, protection and control.

The tool identified for data collection of this research project is a video game, which makes the topic of the representation of space in videogame an absolutely relevant aspect for the project. This work bases on the statement of Jenkins, according to which “game space never exists in abstract, but always experientially”.

A ‘medium’ is a collection of transformations on a set of states, specified by two constraining axioms. The term ‘medium’ stems from the original intuition suggesting such a structure, which is that of a system exposed to a bombardment of bits of information, each of which is capable of modifying its state in a minute way 1997. The system could be, for

[Extract] Reading the articles for this themed section had me reeling. They are each so individually scrumptious, and together so rich that my head and stomach went in all sorts of different directions at once.
