Crossed Simplicial Group Categorical Nerves [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
We extend the notion of the nerve of a category for a small class of crossed simplicial groups, explicitly describing them using generators and relations. We do this by first considering a generalised bar construction of a group before looking at twisted versions of some of these nerves.

Outcome of contralateral C7 nerve transferring to median nerve

open access: yesChinese Medical Journal, 2013
Background Contralateral C7 (cC7) transfer had been widely used in many organizations in the world, but the outcomes were significantly different. So the purpose of the study was to evaluate the outcome of patients treated with cC7 transferring to median

Longitudinal Relationship Between Pain and Depression in People With Inflammatory Arthritis: A Narrative Review

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
As many patients with inflammatory arthritis (IA) have chronic pain, understanding how to best assess and manage pain in IA is a priority. Comorbid depression is prevalent in adults with IA, affecting 15% to 39% of people. Although pain and depression are thought to be associated in IA, this concept is largely based on cross‐sectional data.

Long-term surgical outcome of median nerve injuries

open access: yesFormosan Journal of Surgery, 2019
Background: Median nerve integrity is a prerequisite of normal hand function. The median nerve is a frequently injured nerve, and recent evidence indicates that nerve surgery may produce acceptable outcomes. The present study provides a framework of long-

Reduced Muscle Fatigue Using Continuous Subthreshold Kilohertz Stimulation of Peripheral Nerves [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Functional electrical stimulation (FES) is a prevalent technique commonly used to activate muscles in individuals with neurological disorders. Traditional FES strategies predominantly utilize low-frequency (LF) stimulation, which evokes synchronous action potentials, leading to rapid muscle fatigue.
