The IC direction in HM3 was influenced by the mitral valve height from the LV apex, distance between the LV apex and chest wall, and thoracic depth from the LV apex. Moreover, the IC direction in HM3 had little influence on the flow, PAWP and the survival rate of patients.

Management of recalcitrant median sternotomy wounds
During a 7 year period, 38 consecutive patients (31 male and seven female) had repair of an infected sternotomy wound. Their mean age was 56 years (range 13 to 78 years). Sternotomy was performed for cardiac disease in 34 patients. Staphylococcus aureus was the most commonly cultured organism.

Postoperative cardiac adhesions lead to numerous difficulties in reoperation procedures. Here, a thermo‐responsive in situ formed hydrogel is shown to can reliably cover the wounds after a convenient spraying or injection and significantly reduce adhesion formation in primary and recurrent cardiac injury adhesion models.
