Mediastinal bronchogenic cysts
Journal of the Faculty of Radiologists, 1959Summary Five cases of mediastinal bronchogenic cyst have been recorded, their radiological appearances described, and their possible modes of origin discussed. It is believed that an accurate diagnosis of these lesions can be made from careful study of their features as seen in the routine radiographs of the chest.

Mediastinal calcified hydatid cyst
Acta Chirurgica Belgica, 2020Mediastinal hydatid cyst is a rare disease and should be considered in differential diagnosis of mediastinal cystic lesions especially in endemic regions. This localization is very serious because of the surrounding vital structures. Surgery must be indicated immediately using conservative techniques without extensive resection when progression of ...

Non-Neoplastic Mediastinal Cysts
Advances in Anatomic Pathology, 2020Primary mediastinal cysts are infrequent lesions that can arise from a variety of mediastinal organs or structures. Most of these are congenital in origin and incidental findings during investigations for unrelated conditions. Histologically, the cysts may be composed of various tissues, including bronchogenic, pericardial, thymic, enteric, Müllerian ...

Diagnostic dilemmas of mediastinal cysts
Journal of Pediatric Surgery, 1985Children with foregut cysts of the mediastinum can present at any age with nonspecific respiratory symptoms or dysphagia. Chest radiograph and barium esophagram are recommended for initial evaluation, but they fail to identify some lesions. In other cases, an obvious mass may be confused with a solid neoplasm.

Calcified Mediastinal Bronchogenic Cysts
Radiology, 1969THE DIFFERENTIAL diagnosis of mediastinal lesions is difficult because of the large number of anatomic structures contained within this small space and the homogeneity of tissue densities. Although numerous diagnostic technics may be employed, the location of the tumor still remains the most critical factor in arriving at the correct diagnosis.

Mediastinal Carinal Bronchogenic Cysts
Radiology, 1956Bronchogenic cysts are of congenital origin, arising from the tracheobronchial tree. Although they were once considered rare entities, many have recently been discovered in mass roentgenographic surveys of the chest. Mediastinal bronchogenic cysts are believed to originate in an abnormality in the development of the tracheobronchial tree. The primitive
