Symptomatic Mediastinal Thymic Cysts
The Annals of Thoracic Surgery, 1988The case of a symptomatic, hemorrhagic mediastinal thymic cyst associated with idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura is reported and the literature reviewed. Contrary to previous reports, mediastinal thymic cysts are frequently symptomatic (39%), presenting with complaints of tracheal and esophageal compression.

Mediastinal foregut duplication cysts
The Indian Journal of Pediatrics, 2004Foregut duplication cysts are rare congenital anomalies of enteric origin. In majority of the patients, the diagnosis is made in infancy. The authors report 4 cases of mediastinal foregut duplication cyst in children diagnosed on CT/MRI and confirmed on histopathology.

Recurrent Mediastinal Bronchogenic Cyst
Respiration, 1995A patient with a new mediastinal mass 25 years after resection of a mediastinal bronchogenic cyst is presented. Computed tomography and subsequent thoracotomy revealed a recurrent bronchogenic cyst. This case illustrates that incompletely resected mediastinal bronchogenic cysts may recur many years later.

Mediastinal Thoracic Duct Cyst
Chest, 1999A healthy 34-year-old man had a mediastinal cyst on the imaging study. Surgical treatment was performed. The cyst was diagnosed as a thoracic duct cyst from its anatomic location and contents. Pathologic examination found it to be consistent with thoracic duct cyst.
