### Learning Point for Clinicians This case serves to highlight that cardiac and mediastinal hydatid disease can occur without overt liver or lung involvement, and that echinococcosis of the mediastinum may mimic many other diseases. A 50-year-old female presented with a non-productive cough. She was a non-smoker and reported no other symptoms.
