Half‐Body Radiation Therapy Results in a Prolonged Progression‐Free Interval in Canine High‐Grade Lymphoma After First Remission

open access: yesVeterinary and Comparative Oncology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT An optimal protocol of adding wide‐field irradiation to multi‐agent chemotherapy for dogs with lymphoma has not been established. Brown and beige adipose tissue‐derived metabokine and lipokine inter‐organ signalling in health and disease

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract Adipose tissue has an established endocrine function through the secretion of adipokines. However, a role for bioactive metabolites and lipids, termed metabokines and lipokines, is emerging in adipose tissue‐mediated autocrine, paracrine and endocrine signalling and inter‐organ communication. Traditionally seen as passive entities, metabolites

Intact microdissection of stellate ganglia in a Parkinson's disease model reveals aggregation of mutant human α‐synuclein in their cell bodies

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract Cardiac dysautonomia plays an important role in understanding Parkinson's disease (PD), with recent studies highlighting the presence of α‐synuclein in cardiac tissue. We hypothesise that sympathetic dysregulation observed in PD may involve pathological changes caused by α‐synuclein in stellate ganglia (SG).

Coexistent Pulmonary Tuberculosis and Lung Cancer: An Analysis of Incidence Trends, Financial Burdens and Influencing Factors

open access: yesCancer Innovation, Volume 4, Issue 3, June 2025.
This study systemically evaluated the incidence, disease burden, clinicopathological features and risk factors of coexistent pulmonary tuberculosis and lung cancer (TBLC) over 12‐year period in China. Growing cumulative incidence rate of TBLC was revealed, causing increasing disease burden. TBLC presents with certain unique clinicopathological features

Cytologic Diagnoses of Lung Adenocarcinoma With Concomitant Metastasis From a Different Primary: A Case Series

open access: yesDiagnostic Cytopathology, Volume 53, Issue 6, Page E102-E107, June 2025.
ABSTRACT Lung adenocarcinoma is a common malignancy that can metastasize. The lung is also a common site for metastasis from other sites. Prompt and accurate diagnosis is critical for patient management. The diagnosis of lung adenocarcinoma can be occasionally challenging due to overlapping clinical and pathological features with adenocarcinomas from ...
