An Electronic Medical Record System
International Journal of Extreme Automation and Connectivity in Healthcare, 2020This research proposes, designs, and implements a new online system for electronic medical records (EMR) for assisting the current processes of labs and hospitals. Specific consideration is given to the records of blood donors. It provides an online automated alternate to the traditional manual processes adopted for various medical labs.

Linked record medical information systems
Proceedings of the Royal Society of London. Series B. Biological Sciences, 1973Linked record medical information systems generate cumulative person or family records from data on events or processes occurring to the individual at separate times and places. The special purposes of time-based and family statistics from these systems are exemplified by studies in health care, epidemiology and genetics.

A Computer Based Medical Record System
Methods of Information in Medicine, 1973This paper reports the design and implementation of a computer based medical record system. Clinical data from a 27-bed general medical ward are captured at the point of generation and entered into a computer through a remote terminal. The data stored at present for each patient-admission include the identification, diagnoses, clinical history ...

An automated medical record system.
JAMA, 1973An automated medical record system for ambulatory care has been developed for a prepaid group practice. It has been operational for two years, maintaining the medical records for 20,000 people who have made a total of 80,000 visits. The principal data source is a structured encounter form that is filled out by the care provider at the time of each ...

The Automated Medical Records System
1987This chapter provides physicians with basic information about automated medical records systems, including the portable credit card sized “smart cards” used for positive identification of health plan members and for recording medical data. We also try to provide a thoughtful analysis of this new technology: how to get ready for it, the serious issues ...
