Underrepresentation of Black Individuals in Basal Cell and Squamous Cell Carcinoma Clinical Trials: A Comparison to an Insurance Claimant Cohort

Black patients are significantly underrepresented in skin cancer clinical trials, with 85% and 66% of Black patients with basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma, respectively, unrepresented in trials. This limits the generalizability of trial results to Black patients, further exacerbating health inequity.

Abstract Purpose Kinematic alignment (KA) total knee arthroplasty (TKA) aligns the femoral component to restore the pre‐arthritic posterior joint line, potentially altering the heights of the medial and lateral trochlear peaks. It remains unclear whether the femoral component should be adjusted to correct deviations in peak height.
