Formalizing Latin: An Example of Medieval Latin Wills
Communications in Computer and Information Science, 2021Language modules for more than thirty languages have been created by NooJ, a linguistic development environment. So far, such projects have not included resources for the Latin language. This paper marks the beginning of creating a linguistic model for medieval Latin in the NooJ programme.

Recognizing Verbs in Medieval Latin
Communications in Computer and Information ScienceIn this paper, we present NooJ dictionaries and inflectional grammars designed to recognize various types of Latin verbs, including regular, irregular, defective, deponent, semideponent, and impersonal verbs. Additionally, we have developed morphological grammars to identify compound verbs.

This collection considers key issues arising from the use of Medieval Latin in Britain from the 6th to 16th centuries. Although in this period Anglo-Latin was not the native language of its users, it was nevertheless used extensively for a wide variety of functions from religion, literature, and philosophy to record-keeping and correspondence.
