Chemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.We describe a new method to produce hydrolytically stable cardiotonic steroids using a CPA‐controlled diastereoselective reductive amination of cardenolide aglycones. The oleandrin and digitoxigenin analogs exhibited promising activity against various cancer cell lines in the NCI‐60 screen.
