Non‐Native Rodents Dominate Understory Frugivory in the Eastern Caribbean Islands
We investigated how non‐native mammals have disrupted frugivory by using artificial fruits and camera traps to measure native and non‐native frugivory interactions on 13 islands in the eastern Caribbean. We found that non‐native Rattus sp. were responsible for nearly 80% of all frugivorous activity and that increased non‐native mammal activity was ...

Climatic niche position predicts population dynamics in Mediterranean shrubs after drought
Climatic conditions closer to the species' climatic niche centroid generally resulted in higher population growth in two Mediterranean shrubs, but demographic responses differed between species and were further influenced by drought‐induced vegetation die‐off.

Abstract Bioinvasions are considered mostly as a biodiversity and conservation hazard, but in specific situations, introduced species can bring ecological or socioeconomic benefits. We assessed the social–ecological role of marine introduced species in the eastern Mediterranean Sea—a global hotspot of bioinvasions and extirpations—and their potential ...

Building the model: a review of input structures in extreme temperature–health
Background The health impacts of extreme temperatures have been extensively studied through epidemiological models. However, limited attention has been paid to the specification of these models, particularly regarding input structure and model selection.
