An Integrated NLP‐ML Framework for Property Prediction and Design of Steels

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a data‐driven framework that uses language‐processing techniques to interpret steel processing descriptions and machine‐learning models to predict mechanical properties. By organising complex process histories into meaningful groups and enabling rapid property forecasts, the work supports faster, more informed steel design through ...

Influence of Shot-Peening Treatment on Wear Resistance of Medium Manganese Steel

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology
The effect of shot peening treatment on dry sliding wear behavior of medium manganese steel in as-hot rolled and solution-aging states were studied. The results show that before shot peening, the wear resistance of the solution-aging sample was better than that of hot-rolled steel.

Phosphorus embrittlement in austenite during heat treatment of a medium-manganese steel

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Materials
Heat treatment experiments of an air-hardening medium-manganese steel show that an increase in the austenitising temperature, despite increasing the grain size, leads to better toughness values after quenching.

A Fentanyl‐Responsive Microneedle Patch for Harm Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A fentanyl‐responsive microneedle patch is developed as a self‐regulating overdose intervention that releases naloxone upon detecting fentanyl. The system employs aptamer‐functionalized nanoparticles embedded in a swellable polymer matrix to enable rapid, on‐demand drug delivery through the skin.

Polysiloxane‐Based Single‐Ion Conducting Polymer Electrolyte for Sodium Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report a polysiloxane‐based single‐ion conducting polymer electrolyte for sodium batteries. This polymer electrolyte exhibits high Na+ ion mobility and a wide electrochemical stability window, enabling the long‐term stable cycling of various cathode chemistries – also at room temperature, elevated dis‐/charge rates and active material mass loadings,

Physics‐Informed Machine Learning for Sustainable Alloy Design: Toward a Recyclable Unified Q&P Steel

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A physics‐informed property‐bridging framework links high‐throughput hardness screening to tensile performance in quenching and partitioning steels. By transferring metallurgically guided representations across properties, a single alloy composition is designed to achieve multiple strength grades through heat‐treatment tuning alone, offering a ...

Plastic deformation wear in modified medium manganese steel

open access: yesChina Foundry, 2007
A medium manganese steel with high wear-resistance, strength and toughness has been produced with addition of a complex modifier (or refining agent) containing Nb, N, RE and Si-Ca. The results showed that the wear resistance, strength and toughness of the modified medium manganese steel are respectively 1.92 times, 1.45 times and 3.63 times as high as ...
