Study on quasi-isothermal expansion process of compressed air based on spray heat transfer
The piston expander with compressed air as working medium has been widely studied for its advantages of cleanliness, reliability and safety, but its application is limited by low exhaust temperature and low output power/efficiency.

Experimental study of noise emitted by circular cylinders with large roughness
The aerodynamic noise generated by high Reynolds number flow around a bluff body with large surface roughness was investigated. This is a relevant problem in many applications, in particular aircraft landing gear noise.

Suppression of von K\'arm\'an vortex streets past porous rectangular cylinders [PDF]
Although the stability properties of the wake past impervious bluff bodies have been widely examined in the literature, similar analyses regarding the flow around and through porous ones are still lacking.

Curvature‐tuned auxetic lattices are designed, fabricated, and mechanically characterized to reveal how geometric curvature governs stretchability, stress redistribution, and Poisson's ratio evolution. Photoelastic experiments visualize stress pathways, while hyperelastic simulations quantify deformation mechanics.

The lifetime forecasting of machine elements by fatigue strength criterion
The method for assessing the lifetime of structural elements by the criterion of fatigue strength is improved. It includes tests of laboratory material samples, the positions of the statistical theory of similarity of fatigue failure, calculation of the ...

High‐temperature interactions between low‐sulfur Al‐killed Mn–B steel and MgO–C refractories (0 and 50 wt% recyclates) are studied via finger immersion tests (1600 °C). Surface‐active elements influence infiltration. MgO/CaS layer forms, along with spinel and calcium silicate.
